Android has become iconic mobile operating systems in less than three years and has moved into a fleet of brands such as Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony Ericsson, LG, Micromax, Spice Mobile and Yulong Coolpad… oh wait! Nokia back to ground zero after a deadly strike from Android

Canalys, NPD, Strategy Analytics … even my pet dog has claimed that Android will become the world’s top smartphone OS in 2011! But Gartner and IDC always have always shied away from bestowing the crown to Android; they have always said that won’t happen until 2012 …or even 2015. But the inevitable has happened and finally Gartner and IDC have acknowledged world dominance of Android.
