Microsoft, for the first time in many years, is being taken seriously in the mobile space, thanks to their alliance with Nokia, and holes in the smartphone OS market in some regions. Like me, a lot of analysts are skeptical about the union, but there are others who are expecting huge returns from the partnership, since Nokia still dominates some areas. Taiwanese manufacturers seem to be interested in manufacturing smartphones running Windows Phone 7 as they eye off the money-spinning contracts from the Finnish giant. Read more
